Electrical Engineer – Entry-level position

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer works as part of an interdisciplinary team and under the supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer on a wide variety of design, simulation, fabrication, and prototyping, as well as testing and data analysis tasks. The Electrical Engineer supports the team in the development, validation, and troubleshooting of leading-edge devices used in modern wireless communications and sensing systems. A successful applicant will demonstrate strong interest in research and development, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, good oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work with their hands in the lab creating experimental setups and conducting measurements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Design of RF circuits in the frequency range from 100 MHz to 100 GHz
  • Good working knowledge of electrical laboratory test equipment (familiarity with RF test equipment, such as VNAs and/or spectrum analyzers is a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of data collection, processing, and analysis practices
  • Solid understanding of fundamentals of Electromagnetics and Linear Circuits
  • Hands-on prototyping skills, including soldering, attaching surface-mount components, and working under a microscope
  • Familiarity with LabView, MatLab, and scripting desired but not mandatory
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
     

 

 

Mechanical Engineer – Entry-level position

Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer works as part of an interdisciplinary team and under the supervision of a Manager on a wide variety of design, drafting, fabrication and prototyping, as well as testing and data analysis tasks. Supports the team in the development, validation, and troubleshooting of leading-edge devices used in modern wireless communications and sensing systems. A successful applicant will demonstrate strong interest in research and development, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, good oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work with their hands.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (preferably, Mechanical Engineering)
  • Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drafting tools, such as Autodesk AutoCAD and Fusion
  • Ability to design packages and enclosures for electronics
  • Ability to communicate with vendors to understand capabilities and trade-offs between different fabrication methods
  • Solid understanding of fundamentals of Solid Mechanics and Thermodynamics
  • Basic knowledge of heat flow and power dissipation in electronics
  • Hands-on machining skills, including CNC, routing of printed circuit boards, assembly
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency

 

 

 

Senior Electrical Engineer/Scientist

Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer applies extensive knowledge of RF design, simulation, fabrication, and test skills to develop advanced RF and microwave devices and subsystems in modern wireless communications and sensing systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer leads complex projects, assigns and supervises staff to ensure successful completion of all the tasks within the projects. A successful applicant innovates and extends existing methodologies beyond those widely known and practiced. Effective collaboration in a highly interdisciplinary team and representing the organization in communications with customers and at the professional forums of various levels are expected from the candidate. Experience with DoD funded research and development programs is a strong plus.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physical Sciences or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with designing passive RF and microwave components, including filters, resonators, couplers, etc. (experience with magnetic components, including circulators, and phase shifters is a plus)
  • Experience with a wide variety of Electrical and RF test equipment and methods
  • Experience with numerical modeling and simulation tools, such as Ansys HFSS and/or CST Studio
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in writing and winning proposals to government agencies and companies is a plus.

Senior Materials Engineer/Scientist (Grade V)

Job Description

The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer applies extensive knowledge of materials science, thin film growth process development, characterization and optimization to develop advanced RF and microwave devices and subsystems for modern wireless communications and sensing systems. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer leads complex projects, supervises staff and assigns tasks to ensure successful completion of project tasks and objectives. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer is expected to innovate and extend existing methodologies beyond those widely known and practiced. The successful candidate for this position should have experience with magnetic materials and understanding of their properties. Experience and knowledge in crystal growth technology is a strong plus. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer collaborates effectively in a highly interdisciplinary team and represents the organization in communications with customers and at conferences and other professional forums.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with thin film growth equipment (Czochralski and/or Liquid Phase Epitaxy processes a strong plus)
  • Experience with characterizing and optimizing structural, electronic or magnetic properties of materials
  • Experience with a wide variety of materials characterization tools and methods
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
